A Cold Saturday

By the time we got over to pick up Hannah, Mike and his buddies had sold out of Chili. He was in another contest, which they won - of course. Sooooo, we went over to Homestead Gardens to see the llamas and get some cidar. Then we went to Borders to get a book about puppy training. We had dinner at Killarney House. Yummmm. I hope the weather gets better on Monday, Hannah is going to freeze going trick or treating. Diesel is doing fine. He is so full of energy. Yes, she has a llama on her head. They had toy llamas on sale at Homestead.

A Ball of Energy

We finally got to meet Diesel, Hannah's new puppy. What a cutie. He is everywhere, exploring, jumping, running, having a ball. Hannah is busy reading up on puppy training. She decided that she wanted Italian tonight, so after a homework session we went to see Mr. Vinnie at the Italian Market. When we got home, Mike was still on the road so we waited for Diesel. It was worth the wait.

A Crazy Couple of Days

We picked up Hannah from school on Thursday and had a nice dinner at Outback. After a quick trip to Borders, it was back to her house to drop her off for the night. On Friday morning, Grandpa took Barney over to the vets to have him put down. Very sad, but the best for him. He was mostly blind, arthritic, and had just about lost control of all bodily functions. He live a good life. He was 19 years old. The house really seems empty without him.
On Friday afternoon we picked up Hannah and went over to Meemaw's house. She was feeling dizzy, so while Grandpa drove her over to the ER to get checked out, Hannah and I spent the afternoon playing. Meemaw is ok, just a mild infection.
On Saturday the rains came. This was the last weekend at Faire for the season. Grandpa and I got very wet but had a good time with old friends. Sunday the weather was beautiful The place was extreemly crowded. We saw lots of shows and said good-bye to many friends. After Faire,we went to a dinner party with about 65 people. A sad, happy, mixed up day.

Faire - A Perfect Day for Family and Friends

Brandon got sick and couldn't go. The weather was perfect - just cool enough to really feel like fall. And if it gets too sunny, just put on Grandpa's hat. We saw so many friends and family. Uncle Steve and Aunt Tanya showed up with Jordan. It was great seeing them again. Jordan has grown so much. Aunt Cindy turned Hannah into a little boothie. She really helped by getting stands and just standing there looking cute. Hannah went through the maze, got a big hug from Stupina, sang with Mother Goose and Maudie, bought some fairy dust, and generally had a ball. Aunt Cindy, Grandpa, and Grandma had people show up from work. Jonathan Strum came by the booth and sang the Uncle Walter song just for Hannah. It was neat because her Uncle Walter was there with Aunt Cat. The place was packed. It took us over an hour to get out of the parking lot. We had a great time. Next weekend is the last weekend of Faire for the season.

Faire Tomorrow

Well it looks like Brandon will be going to Faire after all. He just called and asked if he may go tomorrow. We'll see what happens. We got to spend the whole day with Hannah yesterday. After breakfast we went to Jo-Anns to get material for her new cloak, then we went to our house to start making it. Grandpa worked all day today and it is finished. We had a nice visit with Meemaw and went to Fuddruckers for dinner. A very nice day.

A Busy Day

First some sad news, Mike and Gina had to put Bailey down. The cancer came back and he was in lots of pain. We are all very sad.
I went to see the surgeon today. He wants to try cortizone on my thumb before resorting to surgery. I have a trigger thumb. It doesn't bend properly. That shot still hurts.
We had to drive over to Rosenthall because the clickers for the Jag stopped working. That took longer than expected. We had to rush to be able to pick up Hannah on time. We got her around 5 and after a stop home, we went to A.C.Moore to get Halloween decorations. Then dinner at Olive Garden. We are now home, 12 hours later.
