Moving

Mike and Gina moved into their new house on Tuesday. We have had Hannah most of the week so that they could get unpacked. Tomorrow we take Hannah and Didi to Faire. The house is beautiful . . . 4 bedrooms with a large backyard.

Pirates

We took Hannah, Brandon and Justin to Faire for Pirate's Weekend. Hannah got her hair done and bought a beautiful necklace. Aunt Cindy gave her a new ring shaped like a butterfly. It has diamonds on it. Brandon got a new shield and Justin got a long sword. We saw shows, and visited with many friends including the Pirate Queen, Stupina, Jonathan Strum and the Pyrates Royale. We saw Uncle Walker and Cat. We also saw Uncle Bert, Ben and Tina. The kids rode an elephant, went through the maze, shot cannons (Hannah won because she sunk a French battleship), fired crossbows, and climbed Jacob's Ladder. We ate tons of food. We sang with Jonathan and the Pyrates, and laughed at Stupina. Everybody had a wonderful time. After we dropped the kids off, Grandpa and I went home and went to bed.

And Hannah is selling them. She is now a Brownie. Give her a call and let her know how many boxes your want.
After a pit stop at home to do homework, we went to Borders to get a Captain Underpants book. This is her latest series. Then we went to Michael's and A.C. Moore and finally found crepe paper for her pom pons. She is going to be a cheerleader for Halloween.
This weekend is Pirate Weekend at Faire and Hannah, Brandon, and Justin are coming with us on Saturday. We'll have lots of pictures of them plundering the faire grounds.
They move into their new home on Tuesday so we get to have her from Tuesday through Friday after school. We have lots of fun activities planned. We are even going to make a haunted gingerbread house. Hannah and Grandpa looked at doll houses today and are trying to decide which one she wants him to make. I think we need to see how big her room is first.
Next weekend we are bringing Didi and Hannah to Faire. Being a grandparent is the best!

Back to School

Hannah is now back in school and in the THIRD grade. It doesn't seem possible. She is growing up so fast. She is now a Brownie (everybody get ready to buy those cookies), and will be moving into her new home this month with mom and dad. We picked her up from aftercare yesterday and after a stop home to get that homework done, we went to Borders and to the Olive Garden for dinner. There was a baby at the next table that was just jumping around and having a good time. Hannah couldn't believe that her mom was letting her get away with behavior not appropriate for eating out. I reminded her about her first times eating out. The fact that she "wore" her spaghetti very well, thank you, and how she used to play peek-a-boo with all the other diners really got her laughing. She loves to hear about things that happened when she "was young." She is going to Faire with us on Sunday this weekend. More pictures then.
