A Very Busy Week

I officially started back to work this week. The kids come on Monday. Grandpa had Hannah on Tuesday and Thursday. We both had her on Friday. On Tuesday, they fingerpainted and made a delicious strawberry pie for dessert. Thursday was just for relaxing. We spent most of Friday shopping for new school clothes for both of us. We went to Columbia and hit LLBean pretty hard. Then we went to Trader Joe's and home. Hannah left to visit with Aunt Denise this week. We'll see her again on Friday. Faire starts next weekend. We are hoping to take Hannah on Sunday. Grandpa and I went over there today and helped set up one of the booths.

It sure is quiet around here today.

No Hannah today. On Thursday, we just hung around the house and chilled. I had to go to school on Friday, so Grandpa took her to to see Underdog. I got home in time to have some lunch with them and hear all about the movie. Hannah decided that there was no reason for Seamus to walk anywhere, so she carried him around all afternoon. He loved it.
We slept in today. It is really quiet. No infectious giggles, no screams of delight when she beats one of us in a game, no never ending string of questions about what she was like when she was "young." Grandpa gets to watch her on Tuesday, Thursday, and Friday of next week. I should be able to see her all day Friday, if my stuff is ready for the start of school on the 20th. We have had so much fun being with her. Grandparenting is the best!

Tooooooooooo Hot!

We took Hannah to Lancaster, Pa. Tuesday and Wednesday. We had a great trip despite the weather. We went for a buggy ride and Hannah got to drive the buggy. She did real well. We went to the Doll Outlet to buy lots of outfits for Candy. We shopped at the Kitchen Kettle and then checked into our hotel. We spent the rest of the afternoon at the pool. Then we had dinner at Millers and back to the room with the air conditioning on full force. On Wednesday morning we went to the Amish Farm, did a little more shopping and then headed home. The temperature was over 100 degrees. Today, we are planning to just chill out at home. We may go see Underdog tomorrow.

St. Michaels and school

Grandpa and I took Hannah and Seamus to St. Michael's on Thursday. The town is very dog friendly. Although the heat nearly got us, we had a great time shopping and eating crabs. Yes, Seamus has sun glasses. He is one cool dog. On Friday, Hannah helped me put up bulletin boards and get my classroom ready for school. We had a wonderful dinner tonight with Walter and Cat at Red, Hot, and Blue. On Tuesday, we leave for Lancaster.

It is only Wednesday!

What a week. Monday, after Grandpa and I went to the doctor, we picked up Hannah from Dad's work. We stopped off at the diner for breakfast and then did some grocery shopping. Then we came home and did a search on the computer for some of the places that we will visit next week in Pa. Tuesday, brought fast food for lunch. After all it was Fast Food Tuesday and Italian for dinner. Today, we saw the movie Ratatoui with Aunt Cindy and Carlos. Hannah also started making garb for Candy, her American Girl doll. She is quite a seamstress. Tomorrow , we go to St. Michael's with Seamus. Grandpa still thinks that they will let him take a nap.
