Big Family Dinner and a Broken Toe

Hannah broke her toe on Friday night when she tripped going up the stairs. She has it wrapped and is wearing the orthopedic shoe again. Last night we had the big family Christmas dinner at Meemaws, well really downstairs at Cindy's and Carlo's apartment. Lots of really good food and fun.

Christmas Eve

We just got home from a delightful evening with Mike, Gina, and Hannah. They fixed a wonderful buffet dinner, but first we opened presents. We got sooooo many gifts, books, CDs, a new crockpot, gloves and a candle. Hannah has a new hairdo - bangs and curls. She looks so grown up. She is probably in bed by now - pretending to sleep so Santa will come. She'll call tomorrow and tell us what she got. On Friday we will be taking her to see Happy Feet. And then we will see her on Saturday at Meemaws. This is going to be a great vacation!

Cookie Tree

Today is the last day of school before Christmas. We made a cookie tree. You can see from the pictures that Hannah loves icing. The tree is beautiful. It still isn't dry so we will bring it over on Sunday, Christmas Eve, along with all the presents.

Feel better, Sweetie

We were supposed to get Hannah tonight so her parents could have a night out, but she has a fever. We were going to make a cookie Christmas tree and have dinner here. We'll have to see if we can do it next week. We saw her on Tuesday and had fast food for dinner. I hope she feels better real soon.

Busy, busy, busy

We've seen Hannah every week but I haven't had time to post to the Blog. School has been real busy. We are converting to a new system and I have been working late alot. And on the homefront, we are trying to get ready for Christmas. Grandpa and I have been making presents and trying to get the house ready for company. Seamus is doing fine but still demands tons of attention. Just when we get started doing something, he will jump up on our lap to be petted. I wouldn't trade him for the world. Hannah is growing by leaps and bounds. She is getting so much more mature in some areas, but she still loves to cuddle with Grandma and Grandpa. Thank God! Grandpa picked her up yesterday and the two of them went to Santa's Secret Shop at her school. By the time they got to our house, we had just enough time to get the homework completed and leave to go to dinner at one of our favorite places, Hunan Treasure. She is most adapt with chopsticks. We took a short detour on the way back to her house to see a house that was decorated to the max. Tomorrow, we are going over in the afternoon with Meemaw and Aunt Cindy so they can see the new house. It really is beautiful. Mike and Gina have done a wonderful job decorating it. Only 17 more days til Christmas and I'm not even close to being ready.
