A Very Sad Week

Nanny died on February 15th after a very long illness. We thought we had gotten her through this latest crisis, but she just gave up. At the end, she was refusing to eat much of anything. She kept saying that she just wanted to rest in peace. I went to see her on Wednesday afternoon and she talked about how she loved her family and how she was ready to go. Soon after I arrived home the phone rang. It was the doctor telling me that she had passed away. We had a private graveside service on Monday with the family and just a few close friends. Now the process of getting back to something like normal begins.

Snow Puppy

Seamus loves the snow. He runs around in circles, jumping into snow banks and shaking snow everywhere. We let him stay out for about 5 minutes and then bring him in and towel him off in a heated towel. He goes back to the door and barks. He wants to go out again.

Hannah came over for dinner on Thursday. She is studying fractions in Math. She divided up her hot dog into 4 parts and ate 1/4. Then she figured out that she had 3/4 left. She got her report card on Friday and made the Honor Roll again. We have to decide what to do for this round. Last time she got to go to the Make-a-Bear store. Her parents got her a new game for her Nintendo. She is thinking about what she wants.

Dinner

We had a delightful dinner with Hannah last night at Italian Gardens.
